Captain Jason Butler has 24 years of law enforcement experience. He currently serves as Captain of Training & Standards for the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office. After graduating from Scotland High School in 1993, Captain Butler attended Appalachian State University graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice in 1997. He attended Robeson Community College for his Basic Law Enforcement Training and now holds the Advance Law Enforcement Certificate. Captain Butler is an Eagle Scout, a past Master of the Laurinburg Masonic Lodge #305, and is involved in various community activities and organizations. Captain Butler is from Laurel Hill, N.C. He and his wife, Mary, currently reside in Laurinburg, N.C. with their two children.
